Sub-Standard Thoughts for Tonight . .

by SloshedAndVexed @ 2008-07-21 - 23:59:09

On the bbc 'look east' local news a 60ish ( norfolk ? ) couple wanting everyone to know that they've won something like £147,000 from a lottery ticket .
Oh  , how Vulgar , Vulgar , Vulgar . . .
Not  them having won it , but their wanting us all to know .
If it's typically english to decry that sort of vulgarity then I'm glad to be unabnormal in that respect at least .

Michael Caine reckons that cinema is a cheap artform to access , because cinema tickets  only cost ' a couple of quid ' .
I look forward to eventually seeing the new Batman movie , cert 12A , which I heard Mark Lawson on R4 saying that he'd not take any 12 year-old to see .
Very 'dark' apparently , and ,  should the almost corpse-like image of the late Heath Ledger , as 'The Joker' , be being used to promote it ?

If anyone's wondered why this Southwoldian 'blogger has'nt been writing about the Latitude festival : It is'nt  , despite some reports to the contary , in Southwold  : Maybe I'll go for a day next year ( It's about 6 miles away I think ) : But : I am making more of an effort to take more exercise : But : I know I could easily enough find someone to talk to : But : Decade after decade , of my being unable to form relationships with people who I'd like to know , whether through shyness , undiagnosed autism or whatever . .

HLOL about Michael Caine's comment on cinema tickets costing a couple of quid!! When did he last pay to go to the cinema? I like him very much, but he's a bit out of touch now I think....GBHs..XX
