moral minefield

by SloshedAndVexed @ 2008-06-09 - 00:07:56

Amazingly much more pleasantly , warmly summery today . .
I watched 'James Bond' Casino Royale again , and , oh to be a ruthless 'secret-agent/assassin' , for Queen and Country , with a weakness for pretty women , and , at least one of them applies to me .
For the first time I watched all of the credits at the end , there was a reassurance that no animals had been harmed which surprised me as the only animal in it , a horse being ridden on a beach , did'nt appear to be being harmed at all . .
After I saw 'The Ring' at a cinema I purposely stayed until the 'american humane association' assurance appeared on the credits , having been a bit perturbed by the scene featuring a horse on a ferryboat .
In Lowestoft yesterday  there were campaigners drawing attention to 'Proctor and Gambles' alleged experimental mistreatment of animals ; I found it upsetting to look at some of the photo's they were displaying , which were probably quite mild compared to others , and  it's easy to think of some 'campaigners' against cruelty to animals as 'rent - a - mob' morons , seeking any excuse to vent indiscriminate anger , but , as regards sickeningly cruel 'experiments' on poor innocent animals I could easily join them  . . .
However , however . . . I'm not vegetarian , and we've all used medicines that have been tested on animals , so , it's quite a 'moral minefield' . . .
