Another ludicrous example of moronic , power-intoxicated 'we have zero tolerance' idiocy : A young Mother accidentally dropped a fragment of a sausage roll she was feeding her daughter some of : Pigeons swooped and stole the crumbs within seconds :
She was approached by two rude , obnoxious council-employed , power-crazed erotomaniacal morons who announced that they were fining her £75 for dropping litter , which she can't afford to pay so she'll have to appear in court .
Those who knowingly , uncaringly despoil our enviroment by dumping their litter in public areas deserve to be fined .
But just because 'zero-tolerance' became a trendy buzzword in the USA ten years ago , UK councils have to recruit stupid little power-hungry pervs who get off on being given carte blanche to carry on as if they think they are Nazi Stormtroopers , 'cracking down' on wicked citizens whose wheelie-bin lids are slightly ajar or who accidentally drop a few crumbs onto the pavement for hungry pigeons to feast on .
I blame Tony Blair .

Yup, Tony Blair was responsible for introducing some seriously bad policies from the USA...the above one being an example...she should get off though if she explains what happened and the unfairness of her case...let's hope she does, because it's crazy...PC is spreading like a plague now over here too and I'm afraid we're going to end up being as neurotic as the Americans soon about absolutely everything...do I hate the Americans?...no, I just hate the way a minority have been allowed to dictate human behaviour including the banning of hugging or touching in the majority of schools by teachers even if a pupil is weeping or desperately unhappy just in case they are accused of molesting or abusing the child!!! For goodness sake, soon we won't be able to shake hands in case we do it too hard and might injure the other person or pass on our sweat if we're hot...no touching anymore...and then we really will all go absolutely bonkers...I also blame adults for over reacting hugely to the threat of child abuse, which has been hugely hyped by the media and now makes everybody, especially men, absolutely paranoid about coming near a child of any sex...oh, dear, Martin, I'm off on a rant now too...HLOL...big hugs...have a restful night and sweet dreams...XX

I could'nt agree with you more Jenny , that's absolutely damn well 'spot on' correct I'm afraid , and , of course there are a few predatory paedophiles , and parents unfortunately have to be vigilant of that danger , but , as you say , teachers not being allowed to caringly comfort a distressed child ,
and parents not being allowed to film or photograph their children in school nativity plays . . . !
I know it's not all Bliar's fault , but , he's my scapegoat , he can take it ! .
have a restful night and sweet dreams to you & husband too ,
thanks , all the best , ~ Martin .

I don't think it was Tony Blair, he was ultimately responsible but I think it was the spineless peasants surrounding him who were up his a*** to their ankles. Thing was with Blair, he surrounded him self with "yes men & women". I compare the local councillors with crap football referees, they follow the rules to the letter of the law never deviating for one moment towards common sense because their department is so overcome with shit it's nigh on impossible top make u-turns or reverse a decision once it's been made.
Basically we're in the shit. It will be far harder to reverse all these loony laws. It's common sense that is required, unfortunately they don't teach that at universities, so the wannabee politicians go straight into parliament with little understanding of the real world.
