Saw the  Horizon programme about drugs , which , apart from alcohol , and smoking when I was much younger I am innocent of  . .  No surprise that Heroin is deemed to be the most harmful , though I'm not sure that crack-cocaine should have been lumped together with powdered cocaine , listed at number two , and I expected alcohol to have been placed higher than at number 5  .
They all carry a risk , especially to anyone who feels they have nothing to lose ,  just want to be 'out of it ' , do'nt care how .
Even strong coffee can be  dangerous in excess .
Even tea , which former labour MP Tony Benn once became hospitalised through drinking several pint-mugs of a day .
Why do so many people suffer from depression  nowadays ?
Is it something to do with pressure to succeed in our largely non-spiritual , materialistic , celebrity / money / youth and beauty orientated society ?
I do'nt know , oh and  btw , my ( now deleted ) 'vital statistics' post yesterday referred to my 'stats' for this 'blog for the first three days of this month .
For some reason I dreamt last night that I was stranded in Wales : I'm sure that there are far worse countries to be stuck in !
