themes for dreams

by SloshedAndVexed @ 2008-01-25 - 23:11:34

Common themes of my dreams :
1 )  I'm walking along and have only to slightly jump into the air to be able to move along , above the ground at will , sometimes a few inches above , sometimes much more than that , but if I lose concentration I begin to float back down ; Sometimes this is incorporated into dreams of
2 ) Adventure : Some exciting adventure in which I somehow know I'm in no real danger , like watching a movie whilst being in it .
3 ) Being self-consciously partially naked and / or unshaven , hair uncombed etc . in situations where that's not appropiate .
4 ) Walking through a high street in the night , finding a shop that's accidentally been left unlocked .
Also anxiety dreams , and ones of being persecuted .
And erotic dreams , that I'll not go into here . And occasional  nice , calm , happy , wish-fulfillment dreams .
- What are the commonest themes of your dreams ?
(and feel free to analyse mine if you so wish !)

I can write a whole blog about my daily dreams, mine are so vivid and sometimes come true!! Its interesting to read other peoples dreams. One recurring dream I have is a marble rolling down a hill which gets bigger and bigger and bigger. I only get this when I have a fever and it just keeps on rolling

i had a recurring nightmare as a child about a pixie on a television screen walking with a wheel barrow. the floor moved but he stayed in the middle of the screen just walking...then every now and then he would turn and look at me. the ground would go bumpy then smooth...it was really freaky....

Mostly the dreams I have are really really damned annoying...like a cyclic dream where I'm trying to solve something and it doesn't matter what I try, nothing works and I keep repeating the same thing over and over again and it just won't work....like trying to find a word for a crossword puzzle and nothing fits...or get out of some maze...hmmm...have no idea what that says about me but probably I should stop playing these games and doing crosswords while I'm awake...HLOL...

I have dreams slightly like that , in which I'm trying as hard as I can to reach a destination and I may get close , but never get there , like where I want to go is moving away from me as I'm moving towards it !
warmest best wishes , - martin .

The most common theme in my dreams is that I open a door in my house and find rooms I did not know existed, or my house has turned into a big mansion or something. I think this is due to that I have always wanted a big house (or even a castle! :)) ) and I only have a quite small one.

Do I have to say that I get disappointed every time I wake up? :))

Unless it's a metaphor for facets of your character that you do'nt know exist !

the most common dream i have is about my teeth falling out. wonder if this has anything to do with being obsessed with bright white in my real life????
also another one i have quite reguarly and is upsetting is that i have a little baby girl at 30 weeks. she is named and christened in the hospital but then she dies. i hate that one

I've had that first dream too ; The second one , that must be disturbing , and must make you 'think twice' about ever becoming pregnant though most predictive dreams do'nt come true ,
all the best , - martin
