I was'nt intending to 'blog again tonight , but I can't get to sleep yet and have just been watching some of a programme on bbc4 about someone visiting the great Polish tourist attraction Auschwitz :
People queing to visit the former gas chambers and crematoriums - Well , I do'nt know , he felt that the whole place should be blown up , destroyed , as I think did a gentleman known to my
Mum and I who once visited there .
And , keeping it 'alive' to preserve the memory of it to try to ensure that it will not happen again ?
- To whom ? Such terrible , evil , appalling , inexcusable things have happened and will again ,
and , whatever ethnic origins some of us may identify ourselves as having , we are all human .

Polish Tourist Attraction :
Crocodiles , etc . .
Saw mondays 7pm bbc1 programme about saving gorilla's , starring the lovely Will Young and last nights bengal tigers one with the scrumptious Fiona Bruce , looking no worse without her make-up ; Tonights one is about Crocodiles - Urrgh , who wants to save them , horrid , terrifying , evil creatures ! ?
And , does Gordon Brown or does he not have one glass eye ? - I'm sure I heard once that he does , though , watching him closely on tv , live from downing street this afternoon , I do'nt think so .
In case any more of my ceiling falls in I've moved my bed , it's now much better for watching tv in bed .
Unusually I feel like watching something more than usually gentle tonight , I think there's a recording that my Dad once made of 'My Father The Hero'
starring Gerard Depardieu .
I wish I did'nt 'get into states' sometimes ; I mean , if I was on a flight that was about to crash or alive and okay on a bombed tube train I'd probably be very calm and rational , but I do get into silly 'states' about some things on occasions . My late Dad did sometimes too ; God bless him , I miss him
And that was just the morning !
At 7.30 this morning Leo (cat) was on the roof of a nearby bungalow , then fled back here in terror after being swooped upon by squawking seagulls !
Not entirely sure why I've been feeling so low this last 3 or 4 days .
Cap Quest Debt Recovery who insist that I owe Powergen £185 because (although I gave them full access to it)they did not recalibrate my electricity
card-meter at my previous address sent me a letter dated June 21st saying my "account is on hold for 28 days" , then another the next day threatening to issue a court judgement against me if I do'nt pay within 7 days .
Powergen are now called E.On and I'm now going to type a letter to their Chief Executive , keep a copy and send it by registered post .
I cannot get through to the Lowestoft citizens advice bureau ; their number has been "temporarily unavailable" for at least a week .
If there's much that I can barely manage to cope with now then how I will manage in the future when I'm completely alone I do not know .
Earlier this year I read Rhonda Byrne's bestselling book 'the secret' and really was trying to visualise positive things and to banish negative thoughts for a couple of weeks , but then , nothing changed and I slipped back into my usual expectations .

Not here , how about where you are ?
I discovered that it's possible to go on Fawlty Towers hotel breaks ,
including " at the hotel Gleneagles , In Torquay which was the actual hotel that inspired the comic classic .. Enjoy one of our unique Fawlty Towers packages , where Basil , Sybil and Manuel will entertain you from the moment you walk through the door ! - From £89 per person "
That really sounds like great fun ! - Much more so than one of those
'Whodunnit' ' Murder ' weekends , which have always sounded a bit bad taste/sick to me !

Ceiling Fell In
I was awoken at 2.25 this morning by ceiling plaster falling on my head ; Some would-be builders did some work in the loft several years ago , and kept nearly putting their feet through
my bedroom ceiling ~ They patched it up but only shoddily , and that small section of ceiling had been threatening to come down on me for years ; A lot of the gritty dust got into my hair , not much in my mouth , but anyway it'll be seen to and I'm okay , otherwise nothing to report .

I'm glad that Barry George will eventually be able to appeal against his conviction and sentence for the murder of Jill Dando , although there's no certainty of his winning the appeal . He may not be one of the worlds most loveable people but the case against him is about as flimsy as a cardboard bicycle .
A Serbian Hitman killed Jill Dando , then escaped back there and will never be convicted , I've been saying that for years .
1st RECORD I BOUGHT(what was yours?)
The First record I WANTED to buy was that terrible 'Lily The Pink' by 'Scaffold' ; The 1st I DID buy was the above , by r.dean taylor ;
Also I remember getting a floppy 7 inch vinyl single via the milkman , called 'Take Advantage of your Express Milkman' ( ! )
In my early teens I got into Pink Floyd , Tangerine Dream , Genesis and Led Zeppelin , Then Punk , but I've mostly had a fairly 'eclectic' taste .
At the age of about 30 I I started seriously listening to a lot of Classical music ; I love it still though do'nt listen as much as I did , and I love some contemporary , euphoric dance music .
another lovely track

Re. my last posing here it seems that around 1M other uk citizens who are or were paying for their electricity with card meters have through no fault of their own been stunned by sudden back-pay bills because their electricity suppliers did not get round to recalibrating their meters after they raised their prices - I do not recall being warned about that and I did give them access to it so I hope I'll prove to have a reasonable case against having to pay it .
P***ed off and slightly confused
In this mornings post there were two letters for me asking me to urgently 'phone a company called telogram re. an urgent message , one from that company and another from Solicitors :
So I 'phoned and got put through to an unpleasant man with a somewhat bullying , threatening
manner telling me I owe £184 to Powergen for electricity used in my former flat :
Oh no I said , there was a card meter in the flat which I paid in advance for all electricity used there with , and I left with some credit remaining on the meter .
Oh yes he said , Powergen reckon they did'nt calibrate the meter properly -
Well that's not my responsiblity , I gave them regular access to it -
Oh no said he , I do owe it , and how much of it am I now going to pay over the'phone to him with my card ?
I said I want it in writing and he said what for , I owe it and that's that - No I do'nt I said and I'll not do anything before having that in writing and having taken legal advice ;
I just tried 'phoning the Lowestoft Citizens Advice Bureau but got a "this number is temporarily out of service" message .
After the x-partner left me I spent most of my time here , between March '05 and Nov '06 when I moved out of there ; In '05 I got a slightly menacing letter from Powergen in which they were
obviously implying that they suspected me of having 'fiddled' the meter , as suddenly I was putting far less money in cards into it , because I was there far less often - I wrote to them explaining that , and I let one of their meter readers in to check the meter when I was there not long after .
I suspect that because it's a housing association flat that I was renting , rather than a conventional middle-class home they think that I had somehow interfered with their meter to my advantage but cannot prove it so they are 'trying it on' in this way ;
I've always paid bills on time and I have never , would not know how to and would not need to 'fiddle' any meter .
Now they have my 'phone no. they'll probably make menacing calls to my 78 yr old Mother and try to get her to pay it .
I can afford to pay it but am damn well not going to , unless a solicitor consulted by me tells me that I have to and if Powergen are about to send bailifs round . I've never been in debt and I resent this irritating nonsense .
title~2482686
The lovely , though probably unavailable at least to me cleaning lady was here this morning : I was standing next to her helping her with something re. the 'phone I'd given her and SO wanted
to affectionately touch her , stroke her hair , but , I'm very restrained and did not .
Had a winning 'fun bet' and a losing 'serious bet' on Ascot races this afternoon ; It's okay , I'll wait a while then probably win it back .
I left a comment in a gents 'blog a short while ago - He said he would'nt mind if he had a daughter who became a prostitute as all she would do would be to "sleep for money" : Oh ,
WHAT a good idea , sleeping and being paid for it , ah , bliss . . .
Lovely Track
The pics I took in London are'nt really worth putting here so instead
I'll upload this track by Antonio Carlos Jobim & Elis Regina
In your face
Of course it would've been lovely to have had some nice female companionship in London , and , if I could've gone to the right social setting and been really relaxed , posotive , confident , smiley and friendly ,
maybe I could have had .
In the free 'metro' paper I saw an advert for a 'topless bar , all drinks £10 , no other charges'
OMG How F/ridiculous , paying £10 per drink to ogle bare boobs , and I bet they do'nt even serve pints . . .
And , lapdancing clubs - Oh , they might be a bit of a laugh for half an hour if one has 'money to burn' but they sound utterly stupid to me , and , I hear , you're not even allowed to in any way
touch the scantily clad females writhing on your lap for a couple of minutes for £20 or more (+ expensive drinks) , which , being a sensual tactile person I would find hard not to do .
I think they are very exploitative - Of the silly men who go there , but , good luck to them , plenty of people in this country do have vast amounts of excess finances and not necessarily much taste or sense .
been and gone
I did'nt really want to go on the trip to London that I booked online several weeks ago , when I was a bit 'tipsy' .
Because I did'nt care much about it I got the 12 . 11 bus to Lowestoft instead of the 1 hr earlier one ~ It was 10 minutes late then stopped at nearly every stop , and kept being held up by traffic
lights and queues , as well as by the bridge opening to let a ship through ; I missed the coach to
London by 30 seconds .
I went to the train station to inquire about a train to London , then changed my mind , then went back there - £38 single and £39 'open return' . So I got to the London hotel earlier than I would have by bus , but ,
As I knew all too well it's always so damn hot and humid in London - Okay not in the Winter but for most of the rest of the time , and the hotel room had no air conditioning , just a noisy fan .
I do'nt enjoy much if any of travelling alone , and , I know there's loads to do in London but I could'nt think of anything I wanted to do last night apart from have a meal - I just went for a walk through Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens into Gloucester Road , had a drink then got a tube back , having forgotten to take the pre-pay oyster card I'd bought , or any protection from the rain .
I just could'nt face not knowing what to do in hot sweaty London all day today
before going to the big open air 'gig' tonight which I was'nt at all sure if I'd enjoy so , though I'd paid for 2 nights at the hotel I came back this morning . I gave my concert ticket to a group of nice young people , probably students , waiting for the London train at Norwich station , saying give it to someone else if none of you can use it , then got the train back to Lowestoft where I had a
little time before the bus back to Southwold ,
I'd just made a 'phone call , then said no I'm not interested to a couple of scruffy , barely articulate young males who'd tried to sell me cans of mens after-shave or deodrant or something that they had several
of in a bag , then was approached by another young man saying "he wants to talk to you" pointing to a security guard standing in the doorway of Millets , over the road - I'd not been in that or any other shops in Lowestoft today- who was glaring at and beckoning to me .
I'm not going to be intimidated by some prat in a silly uniform who has no powers of arrest and no evidence of any wrongdoing by me because there has not been any , so I beckoned to him , he did not come over so I carried on up the street and that was the last I heard of that .
Unlike going to London I was looking forward to getting back here , and seeing Leo (cat) (my Mum's away until wednesday ). I was away for 25 hours .
So now I shall become boringly provincial , like the rural Suffolkers and Norfolkers , who I used to feel slightly condescending towards , who never want to go anywheree else . Not that I do'nt want to travel , or to go to more exciting places for a change , but , not alone , it's such a waste of money .
If I'd gone today , just for tonight , I may have somewhat enjoyed a bit the atmosphere of tonights hyde park event .
Not Here
F*ing ' honour killings' in the news again ; The political and legal Establishment need to make it 100% clear that such barborously evil practises are NOT , and never will be acceptable in the
UK , sending the perpatators to prison for the rest of their lives . I hope I'm wrong in suspecting that the 'political correctness' of grovelling round 'ethnic minorities' will ensure their being quietly released after 4 - 5 years .
For anyone who's not yet heard of this it concerns a girl of 20 being murdered by her Father and Uncle simply because she had a boyfriend who they had not chosen for her .
(Of course plenty of premeditated wholly inexcusable vile crimes are committed by indigenous UK citizens , who should be treated harshly too . And , I know that anyone can change , but if it's a crime that's supposedly sanctioned by someones religion/culture then they are probably unlikely to feel genuine remorse , if they truly deludedly believe that their evil , sadistic actions are somehow morally justifiable , which is why our society needs to make it very , very clear that such barbaracy will Not , Not Ever be tolerable here . )

Why do some cd players simply refuse to play some discs even if they are virgin brand-new , though they'll play most others , even if with lots of smudgy marks on them ?

A Very warm and genuine Thank You Very Much to everyone who expressed sympathy and concern re. my Cat
going missing for 16 hours yesterday ; He seems to have learnt his lesson as today he's been in the house more and not gone far when outside . It's wonderful to have him back .

Cat Crept In ! Back in again !
16 hours later , 11pm , after I'd gone to bed , suddenly heard his miaouws , have'nt a clue where he's been , though I'd put 30 copies of a letter through peoples doors politely requesting them to check their
sheds and garages , so maybe that paid off .
Leo seems absolutely fine , and , though I coped really quite well with his totally unprecedented 16 hr
disappearence I did become quite emotional at seeing him again , which , to be honest , not being the
worlds greatest optomist , I had'nt really expected to . . .
My previous cat , who the x-partner took once went missing for , I can't remember how long , then turned
up hungry and with oily stains on her like she'd been locked in a garage ; it never happened again ,
like she'd learnt her lesson , so I hope that remark applies to Leo !
Cat's Gone Missing
Leo's been missing for over 12 hrs now : He went straight out , before his breakfast , and no sign of him since ~ Have spoken with neighbours and others and stuck some notices on telegraph poles and trees , offering a £50 reward . . . So far , nothing .
Either someone took him , which seems unlikely as he's not been seen out the front , by the road , or he was run over or had some other bad accident which seems unlikely too , or - and
there's access for him to various gardens from the back of the house - he's got shut in someones shed or garage , and will return when they've opened it by tomorrow morning .
He's only 7 and a half months and has never been missing for more than a couple of hours before .
If there is any 'meaning of life' I suspect it's that we're here to learn lessons , but , as if I have'nt learnt quite enough thank you about loss , grief and anguish already .
\ \ \ /// tails
I thought I'd like 'the butterfly effect' , on tv tonight , but it turned out to be a trashy teen movie
with intellectual pretensions .
My lovely feline friend for some reason loves being on my lap in front of my laptop ; Occasionally I wonder what it'd be like to have a tail ;
I seem to remember my Dad once telling me that , at school , some other boys thought he was Jewish (he may have been one quarter and I may be one eighth) , and that they thought that 'jews' had tails . . .
Three out of three winning bets this month .
Pyjamarama // ? ~
I heard on bbc radio 5live this morning that a lot of youngish females in N.Ireland spend nearly all their lives in their pyjama's , and fluffy pink 'mules' ;
From where might this extraordinairy sociological phenomenom have originated from ~ ?
I once went in a brand new pair of m&s pyjama's under my overcoat to a lesbians pyjama party at my old over the road local the catherine wheel .
I'm watching a Rolling Stones dvd , of their 'steel wheels' tour . . . pretty damn good / / / \\

As a White person I hate the N* word ; it immediately conjures up mental images of photo's and programmes about disgusting treatment by white folk of black people in the USA in the last century .

OoOoOOooH What Fun I had my weekly trip to Luvverly Lowestoft this afternoon ; I backed another Frankie Dettori ridden winner , and did the right thing by taking the price that time , and I was stroking a lovely black labrador guide dog in the 'hills shop .

How appalling of that German Radio Journalist to ask the McCann's if they abducted or murdered or whatever their daughter Madeleine : Then to say she did not suspect them : Then that they are either good actors or telling the truth - Has she not researched or read any articles about the case : How could/why should they have been or have wanted to be responsible . .
Channel 4 tonight - -
So the much heralded and supposedly very controversial C4 docum about the death of P/Diana turned out to be ~ Rather boring actually ; Almost nothing I'd not heard before ,
and , I still think , a stunt to get as much free publicity beforehand which certainly worked ~ One or two grainy b/w photo's which could've been of anyone , and that was what all the fuss was about ?
Not that I want to see anything morbidly disturbing that's real , absolutely not , and I would've watched it anyway . And if it WAS meant to dispel 'conspiracy theories' it most certainly did not go any way towards doing that .
As a matter of fact I do NOT believe that no humans ever walked on the moon , or that Elvis and Marilyn are happily cohabitating in a Russian submarine under Loch Ness , but I shall detail my reasons for disbelieving the 'simple , tragic , drunk driver car crash'
theory about the death of Diana , Dodi and Henri Paul ,. . .

Frankie Dettori
What a wonderful , warmhearted , tactile , charismatic , talented lovely person , who exudes posotive energy wherever he goes . . .
And (though the derby was on the bbc this year) , What a Lovely , Lovely Lady that Tanya on C4 Racing is - I So much prefer her to any 'Big Brother''Bimbo' .
The Derby / Punk Rock
I opened a new account with totesport and bet 50 on authorized to win the derby @10/11 + another 50 in a free bet offer to new customers : That stake not returned with any winnings ; Frankie Dettori certainly deserves to win it , on his 15th attempt , and , having had sleepless nights recently due to his son having had asthma attacks .
I will not watch tonights BBC2 'story of rock' episode , the sex pistols story for the upteenth time - Why do these programmes always ignore The Damned , who had all the energy of the 'pistols and the clash with with so much more theatricality and style : Dave Vanian in his edwardian 'frock coat' etc. vs 'johnny rotten' in ripped t-shirt and baggy trousers = no contest !
I recall with some embarrassment my controversially turning up at school one day in a t-shirt I'd ripped and done up with safety pins having written 'anarchy' and 'destroy' on it - I was only 15 !
- Come to think of it I may well have only been 14 -
Well , Did you Ever ?

BB / Catholicism
Watched a bit of the 'Big Brother' programme last night , and , apologies to anyone who may be enjoying it but in my humble opinion it's such utter drivel , I'd like to be able to vote them all out - Watching an empty BB house would be less boring and irritating .

So some Catholics are ranting on against abortion again - Something I've always felt uncomfortable about , though probably 'the lesser of two evils' in some cases .
It's of course very well known that the Catholic Church want Catholic married couples to produce as many children as possible , bringing them up as
